Types of sleep apnea

As you may or may not know, sleep apnea is a sleep disorder that affects millions of people from all around the world. With this condition, there is a cessation of breathing or very shallow breathing throughout the night. These pauses in breathing usually last about 10 to 20 seconds. There are different treatments for the disorder but one of the most common ways to diagnose and understand the condition is with an apnea monitor. These monitors check for changes in breathing and can be used in the hospital or at home. Unfortunately, from time to time the monitors can break and this will require a trip to the apnea monitor repair shop.
